What is a vinyl wrap?
A vinyl wrap is the application of a large vinyl graphic to the original paint of a vehicle. We predominately use Avery Dennison Vinyl as we believe it’s the best wrap film on the market, whether it’s a digitally printed image or a special color or texture eg Carbon Fiber or Chrome.
Does a vinyl wrap damage my paint?
No, a vinyl wrap will actually protect your paint from sun damage and small scuffs and scrapes. If the install is completed by a cheaper less qualified person/company the process could damage your car. Improper installation techniques could leave your paint damaged from razor blades or if the wrong film is used eg Sign Vinyl with extra strength adhesion when removed it could strip your paint if it’s not removed with care.
How long does a vinyl wrap last?
A wrap’s life span really depends on how well the film is cared for, with good care vehicle wraps can last much longer than 5years. With poor care e.g. if bird dropping’s are left on the paint for an extended period of time the acid in the droppings will eat into the wrap just as it would into your original paintwork.
How do I care for my vinyl wrap?
Keeping your car clean will help you prolong the quality of your vinyl wrap, frequent hand washing is recommended to keep the wrap from getting stained or damaged from road grime. We do not recommend using an automatic car wash, but a pressure washer is acceptable as long the high pressure water gun is kept a minimum of 500mm from the wrapped surface.
